In our environment we are using Disk library for all our backups and all the backups are running in a single session. To improve backup timings of one of the Oracle node, we are planning to increase the sessions in commvault. My question is, other than changing the settings in subclient level, do we have to increase the channels in RMAN script to make it work?

Thanks.

Hi @Amit

It depends on how the backups are triggered.

If the backups are scheduled from commvault level then changing the streams on the sub-client will do but if you initiate the backups from rman interface then update the rman script to use additional channels / streams.
