How configure/steps Storage Accelerator on a client for AWS S3 cloud Library

Hi Everyone,

 

Needs steps to configure Storage Accelerator for Client in different AWS account/region and the S3 Bucket and Media Agent in other account/region.

Client - Account 2

S3 Bucket Account 1

Media Agent (DDB) - Account 1

    Hi @Rahul18081,

     

    Did you searched the documentation??? It is documented pretty well: https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/expert/96835_accelerating_backups_to_cloud_storage_libraries.html#procedure

    Do mind to make sure to use the S3 Gateway Endpoint to publish the endpoint in the respected VPC in order to save cost on traffic.

    Hello @Rahul18081 

    You just need to install the Storage Accelerator module onto the Client and then future backups of that client will write directly to cloud and skip the MediaAgent as long as the Client has network level connectivity to the bucket.
