Version 11.28.32

I have a couple of “dark-site” commvault installations where I don’t have any internet nor email servers.

Is there a way to get rid of the event messages:

Event Code: 35:3944 “SMTP Server is not configured, Email notifications cannot be sent”

and

Event Code: 35:230 “The Mail Server is not configured to send E.mail. Please configure the Mail Server from the following location….”

Can’t find any post how to disable this event messages…

Hi Combato,

 Try this setting:

https://documentation.commvault.com/additionalsetting/details?name=%22bGenerateEventForSMTPConfiguration%22&id=8040

Setting of zero for the bGenerateEventForSMTPConfiguration should do the trick!

Thank you @Vsicherman ! 😊

The “SMTP Server is not configured” message disappeared but the “The Mail Server is not configured to send E-mail” still pops up in the Event Viewer.

Do you know if it’s possible to get rid of these as well?
