We need modern OS support like Ubuntu 22.04 listed in file system backup - https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/essential/142272_system_requirements_for_linux.html

I agree with @przemekk , Ubuntu 22.04 LTS has been available for 1.5 years now, and Commvault still does not support this OS as a Media Agent. The same applies to Rocky Linux 9.x.

Hello @przemekk

Have you had a support case where you were told that Ubuntu 22.04 is supported as an OS for MediaAgents? Some Operating Systems are not supported for hosting the MediaAgent but are supported for Clients.

I see @Sebastien Merluzzi is checking for you, but I wanted to advise that it may not be out-datated and that some OS are not supported for MediaAgents.

There is another topic from some people around Ubuntu 22.04 -

We are during preparation of upgrade to 11.28 and checking requirements.

Development confirmed it needs some validation.

We will validate and update by end of next month.

I had a support ticket regarding support for new Linux system versions - 230809-347. In the end, I only received information that Ubuntu 22.04 and Rocky Linux 9 are currently not supported - no information on whether they will be supported at all and, if so, when.

Any news regarding CMR? I see the CMR On Roadmap status in the portal, but I don't see any details, especially the estimated delivery time.

Tested on SP 34
glib version: 2.35
OS: Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
