Since “search service application db” failed during pre backup phase,
please confirm
 #1. if you have sql server where these sharepoint content databases are hosted sql agent is already installed and protected by commvault, in this case SharePoint search databases might be part of subclient already

if yes from the screen shot shared check for “content database options” tab configured with sql client refered in point #1 or not

I show on my Windows SQL server the database Default_Search_Service_Application_DB_xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

@gary mcneely  thank you for confirmation i believe this clarifies query initially raised for filter option, it can’t be done form share point agent database backupset level , since it is backup from sql server agent

@gary mcneely please make sure sql client is selected in below highligeted tab and try backup
if still issue perists then it needs to check and confirm native export is working or not from sharepoint side
