I have a daily schedule (daily 21H and full Synth on Saturday at 22h) that is use to backup file system inside VMs and also backup the VM itself via VMware snapshots (san transport mode)
Can I use the same schedule to backup via VMware Snapshot and also data inside the VM at the same time ?

From a scheduling perspective, there’s no issue….as long as it’s an all types schedule that will work.
The question comes down to who gets the VSS writers first. You may have internal contention for client resources that give you performance issues, or errors.
Is there any need to run these simultaneously, or was it just a question based on curiosity?
