Hey Vaulter, 

 

We have larger clients in terms of size, its very difficult to look each restore requests.

Is there any solution easily user can access the backup data and restore in their location or specified folder same way DLP how Edge Window able to restore from their own for WFS Backup?

@Sudharshan Kumar , are you referring to server admins restoring their own data?  Or end users restoring files from servers?

For the former, why not give them limited access to the console so they can handle their own restores?

Hi @Mike Struening, End Users restoring files from servers; not interested to give console access to end user and their not familiar also user friendly non-technical users. 

 

All the way earlier, DLP Agent installed on the user computers and Backup/Restore can perform their own or interval of period. 

 

When user wanted to restore DLP Edge Interface can restore by browsing the older backup jobs. 

 

Is that same way restoring files from servers. 

Are these servers VMs?  If so, they can access the Web Console:

Use the Web Console My Data page to manage the data from your:

  • Desktop or laptop computers

  • SharePoint machines

  • Exchange mailbox

  • Virtual machines

  • Sync folders

  • Shared folders
