Dear Team,

Hope you are doing good and safe!

I need your help, i would like to add the below additional details of Azure VMs in the Chargeback report, does anyone has code or script to build it?

  1. Azure Subscription name
  1. Azure Resource group
  1. Azure VM Tags
  1. Backup cost of Azure blob storage based on the backup size

Thanks

Hey @Murugan Chandrasekaran , thanks for the post!

To confirm, you currently are using the vanilla chargeback report and want to create a custom version with those extra columns?  Let me see what we can get for you :nerd:

Ok, great.  should be simple enough.  Need to clone the Chargeback report and then add in the other items (which I’ll need to find their source).

I’ll investigate/ask around and get back to you with the details.

@Murugan Chandrasekaran , I spoke to one of our developers who suggested we create a CMR.

I’ll reply back once we have the CMR number.

@Murugan Chandrasekaran , I got approval and created this CMR:

 328020

The direction here is for them to add these details to the vm backup report.

No ETA, though I have added your company to the item.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi @Mike Struening, Good day to you :) could you please let me know if there is any update on this?

Hi @Murugan Chandrasekaran !  We don’t generally have release estimates for a CMR.  If you pm me your CCID, I can add it to your Command Center so you can check up whenever you want to.  You have a few, so I want to be sure IO tag the right one (it’s currently tagged to your org, but not the CCID itself)

Keep in mind, this may take a few months or longer.  If you need it faster, it might be worth building a custom report on your own, or contacting your Account rep to engage Professional Services.

By the way, we JUST publish an article on creating Custom Reports:

I literally hit publish about 3 minutes ago!
