I need to change VSA transport mode for backups of VMs from hot adds that is being used to SAN mode.  We recently installed new media agents to connected them to fiber.  What do I need to do to connect these new media agents to the libraries and switch over to SAN mode?

I believe you need:

  1. VSA must be deployed in the MAs;
  2. zone appropriately between the MAs and SAN storage;
  3. present the VMware datastores to the MAs ("LUN masking");
  4. by default transport mode is AUTO, so if everything is fine, it should pick SAN mode;
