The “Data to be copied” in the aux copy summary is the application size of the data

• If you are viewing the “Data Written” size for the jobs in a copy that is the size of that job after any deduplication and compression space savings.
• The size written on the primary copy may not necessarily be the same size as is written on the secondary copy despite both copies using deduplication.
• It can be the same or similar but there are various conditions that would change this also
• For example using encryption or a different encryption on the secondary could cause a difference in the size

thanks for that...now it appears that the original aux copy completed with errors; the next aux copy would it automatically copy the data which failed to copy on the original one or would I have to rerun the original aux copy?

It will automatically copy any Jobs that are 'partially copied' or failed to copy on each subsequent attempt. Can you share the error here?

I checked on this issue with our Media Management team,

Your subsequent aux copy attempt will retry any data that wasn’t processed, if you continue to see this issue I would recommend having an incident created.

If you do create an incident for this can you please share that incident number here or message me privately with the details if you prefer.
 

thanks I looked at it this morning and aux copy completed fine and all the jobs were copied across thanks for your help
