Hi Team,

There is some difference/changes observed on Average Q&I Time across Partitions in last 3 days:71,112 µs (3555%).

Can someone please suggest and explain on above is this normal or abnormal attached screenshot.

Hello @SamKBabu

Q&I times indicate the performance of the DDB and are determined by the amount of time it takes to lookup records in the DDB and how much time time it takes to add new records. These are affected by the size of the DDB compared to the configuration of the hardware hosting the DDB.

You can check our hardware specifications for proper sizing requirements.

Hardware Specifications for Deduplication Mode - https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/expert/111985_hardware_specifications_for_deduplication_mode.html

Most importantly:

  1. Size of the DDB compared to the number of partitions in the DDB
  2. CPU and Memory of the hosting MediaAgent
  3. Speed of disk hosting the partition (as outlined in the “Disk Layout” section
  4. Note that the DDB should be on its on local dedicated disk

Thank you,

Collin
