Is there any additional setting to avoid the archive log backups when a Database backup is active

If a Database backup and an hourly archive log backup runs at the same time,  it throws an Oracle error

ORA-00230: operation disallowed: snapshot control file enqueue unavailable

 

To avoid this situation is there any additional setting to skip/queue the archive log backup when a DB backup is active.

 

Hi @alligator,

By design commvault will not allow this, as there are separate sub clients for data and logs.

You can customize it based on your requirements, have the separate schedule policies, and exclude the log backup schedule when the data backup runs.  (During the data backup window)
