However, regular “not 1-touch” backups run just fine.

Firewall is open on any port for diagnostics.


Check readiness comes out OK for every test.

Client: CentOS 7

Commvault version: 11.34.20 (both server and client)

I was missing the "File system" package (I had installed only the "File system base")

One would say the error message would point that out...


Usually this happens when the client runs out of space in the Commvault installation directory, or in /tmp.

 

Check out the files sr.log and sr_post_backup.log in /var/log/commvault/Log_Files, assuming you are using the default log location for Commvault.

 

You might notice a process reporting it is sleeping until a tar.gz file shows up, which might never show up, because the lack of space on the system.

 

Allow at least 5 GB of free space in the Commvault installation directory, like /opt/commvault, and at least 3 GB in /tmp.
