System State filter Deprecation in 11.21

For Windows File System backups, 2 System State filters are being deprecated in 11.21:{One touch files} {Offline files}These are being deprecated going forward since filtering these items will limit the ability to perform One Touch Restores. Going forward, these filters cannot be added, though existing filters will be honored.Please note that if these filters were added as a workaround and are removed, they cannot be re-added. If errors arise as a result, please create a new discussion, or comment below.

Docker - End of Life Notice

Docker Change On Dec 15th 2020, Commvault released Feature Release 11.22 which represents the third software release to support protection of Docker containers that are managed by Kubernetes. Commvault also announced deprecation of the Docker Virtual Server Agent (VSA) What changed? Commvault has observed a significant shift from our customers and the containerization market in general towards orchestrated container platforms like Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP) and Kubernetes. As popularity for RHOCP and other Kubernetes distributions has grown, we have observed a reduction in demand for native Docker protection. So long, farewell.....

Fellow community members, Today is my last working day at Commvault, and I wanted to leave you all with a message of my appreciation and gratitude. 2 years ago, we were just about to launch an extremely ambitious project: a new and improved Commvault community. Our previous community never received much attention, so our expectations were a bit tempered. When the community launched, we could not have been happier! Fast forward 2 years and we have over 9000 members, with over 4000 topics! I'm beyond proud of everything we have all built together. Our world grows smaller every day. I have no doubt that this won't be the last time we speak with each other (there's always LinkedIn :-)). Keep helping each other and growing together. This community's best days are still ahead! Creating Sub AccountsIn order to create a Sub-Account for Maintenance Advantage, you need to first be logged-in as your Organization’s Parent Account. Disk Library mount path is offline due to nfs local_lock option set in mount options after upgrading to 11.20 or higher

Sharing this information Proactively.Issue:After upgrading to 11.20 or higher, NFS Mount Paths show offline in the Comcell GUI with the error "The mount path is marked offline due to nfs local_lock option set in mount options"CVMA.log on the Media Agent will show:102415 1901f 01/13 19:06:53 ### WORKER [96/0/0 ] :CVMAMagneticWorker.cpp:6992: Marking mount path \[<mount path>] mounted on dir \[/commvault\_fas\-syd\] offline due to mount options [rw,relatime,vers=3,rsize=65536,wsize=65536,namlen=255,hard,nolock,proto=tcp,timeo=600,retrans=2,sec=sys,mountaddr=170.65.110.200,mountvers=3,mountport=635,mountproto=tcp,local_lock=all,addr=<IP Address>]Cause:Checking the NFS mount options by running mount -v will reveal the path is not set to "local_lock=none":In earlier releases, it was advised to set local_lock=none as per https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=12567.htm.
