Hi Team,

While i’m analysing the CVD.logs for throughput performance, i  came across below log lines. Could anyone let me know what exactly this “[DSBackup Media Write Speed]|[SI-FS Write Speed]” mean.

DSBackup Media Write speed is the speed without any of the time spent in the dedupe layers, so basically raw media write speed.  SI-FS is including time with the dedupe layers.

 

If there is a disparity between the two it is because speed is being lost somewhere in the deduplication process.
