Suppose that we have been installed a file system agent software on linux client with root password Abc123!. After that root password has been changed and there are a new requirements to install another mysql agent software on that client with update with current MR version.

So, how to change or modify the current root password for linux client from commcell console?

Hi @Ibrahim Khalil,

If the client is already installed, you can add new agents or install updates without needing a password. The root password is only needed for the initial install to copy the files over SSH and execute the setup. After the base services are installed everything happens over the Commvault ports instead.
