Upgrade commvault 11.22.62 to 11.24.34

Hello

I need to upgrade our 11.22.62 commvault version to the 11.24 feature release.

 

I can just do this via the commcell gui correct?   Kind of like the way I install the maintenance releases etc except this will be a feature release.?   I plan on doing commserve/media server first then the clients..

 

or are you suppose to perform the feature release upgrade a different way?

 

Please advise.. thanks in advance!

Hey @bc1410,

 

You are correct, this can be done via the CommCell Console: https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/expert/2628_installing_feature_release_remotely_using_commcell_console.html

The Feature Release will take slightly longer than a Maintenance Release but is similar process.

 

In terms of order, I would suggest (as you stated) CommServe first, Then Media Agents (and any VSA Proxies), Then Clients (and Access Nodes).

 

Before doing this I would suggest taking a DR Backup and also ensure that you have checked the pre-requisites are met: https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/expert/2633_prerequisites_for_feature_release_installations_using_commcell_console.html
