I am facing this issue while executing mysql db server backup, I can see cvping and all ports are working well, also checked commvault agent are bale to install and connect to the commserve,
Kinldy help
ERROR: cvfwd_iot_wait(): Couldn't issue a zero-length read on fd=23144: Connection reset by peer
Any one knows the rsolution of this?

It seems that the SQL Server might not be on the same subnet as CS, which could explain why connectivity is happening through port 8403. Have you had a chance to check cvfwd.log for more info?
other thing go in my mind antivirus the most virus-scanning applications use real-time scanning this may block commvault processes check this link for more details
