HyperScale X hostname will be changed during installation

We installed a HyperScale X reference architectur. The host name of the server was in front of the installation “server2”, after installing HSX the hostname is like to the product serial number. Why was the host name changed? Can we change back to the formerly host name?

Regards

Thomas

Hi @tw-sva,

In my experience of Hyperscale deployments, the Hostname is the Serial Number (once the image is applied) until the Deployment  is completed. - As long as the IP Address’s you set on the Nodes can be resolved in DNS, on the final configuration the Hostnames should update to the resolvable ones.

Documentation on Deploying HSX w/RA can be found here:

Best Regards,

Michael
