Is there a way to remove the welcome banner below so its just a blank screen.

The welcome banner is located here and can be edited:
/etc/ssh_banner file
I’m not sure if it will be changed back every time you upgrade.

I have never tried but its not going to brick the machine if you do.
Might just get an error instead of the banner. Give it a crack. Or rename it to _old to see the impact.
