Dear community,

After initial Commvault installation, noticed that Im getting Anomaly notifications about “No Schedule” for “File System” about MediaAgents.

Considering that all MediaAgents have internal backup jobs for DDB, INDEX (?) etc, is there any suggestion for further protection?

What is the best practice to protect Media Agents?

Best regards,
Nikos

Hello @Nikos.Kyrm

This would be up to you. There is nothing in the “Filesystem that would be required to restore from a software perspective. As you understand the Index and DDB have their own backups. All of the configuration is stored in the CommServe SQL Database.

Thank you,
Collin

Hello @Collin Harper

Thanks for your reply.

So except DDB & INDEX, consider maybe to backing up the Job Results directories (in case of o365 backup) ?

This kind of use cases, right?

Best regards,
Nikos

Hello @Nikos.Kyrm

As part of the Media Management Team in Support I am not familiar enough with the O365 Agent to say, but there is no harm in backing up the Filesystem of the MediaAgent.

Thank you,

Collin
