Anyone using the additional setting "DontRenameVMClients" setting? When is it needed?

I noticed a VM names mismatch in the JavaUI and WebUI.
VMs in the JavaUI sometimes have a different name in the WebUI.

Commvault support says it is probably because of the additional setting on the CS: “https://documentation.commvault.com/additionalsetting/details?name=%22DontRenameVMClients%22&id=7490”

Unfortunately, it is not documented on our end why this is set on this particular CS.

I would like to remove it, but would like to know when/why this setting should be used.

Anyone?

Thanks.

Good afternoon.  I have checked with my Client team resources and while this setting is known, it is not one that is commonly used.  I would think in most situations you would want the client names updated to reflect name changes in VMWare.
