Application Backup Copy

Forum|alt.badge.img+5

Hello

if I have Exchange or SQL onto a VMware VMs with RDM disks backed up with agent in-guest (Intellisnap backup) is it mandatory to have the LUNs visible in the guest OS? is it not possible by Commvault to manage the LUNs mapping throught the hypervisor that can see the LUNs ? the clients are registered in Commvault as VMs because we backup also the VMs

If I implement an Application Aware backup I will have the same requirement?

Regards

Federico

There is an option you can turn on that should allow mounting of pRDM to a VM. https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/expert/110880_snapshot_mount_operation_using_prdm.html
