Are there any dependencies on Microsoft Silverlight for any CommVault products (as far back as v10)?

Just curious, as I’ve found Silverlight installed in a few places that should be “commvault only” and don’t know why or how it got there. I’m betting ‘no” because I’m not seeing “Silverlight” mentioned in any forum or knowledge search here, but wanted to see if anyone knows/ran into any things commvault might have (or be) used for it in the past ( think way back to v10 if you can!).

Good afternoon.   Microsoft Silverlight is not required by any Commvault processes and can be safely removed.

Is there a particular installation type, like media agent vs file system or exchange? I don’t see anything in the docs: https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v10/article

not that I can tell.   a few media agents and a proxy server, but there’s nothing “special” about them as we have others doing the same stuff. There’s no pattern of ‘function” of these systems I can discern of why it’s there at all.

From a later post, it seems there’s no known connection.  maybe they were put on there for some other software trial/test or web product long ago.
