Is the ASP.NET needed on Commserve or Media Agents?

I know that .NET libraries are possible, but I would like to know if we can remove ASP.NET components or it is necessary for Commvault. If so - in which version?

Commvault version is 11.32.26

Hi @Emilian,

ASP.net should be tied to the .net core hosting packages that commvault requires. ASP.net is required for the webserver component to function.

For 11.28 and above it uses .net core hosting bundle 6.0.x - you can install any minor release that replaces the X and it will be compatible. You can remove any version lower than this (3.x was used in the past).
