big data app job for aux copy

These are Index Backups and should not be excluded from copy. What is the concern with them?

@Collin Harper  we have 3 policy to tape. Weekly monthly and yearly last fulls.

so we are seeing big data apps being copied to yearly copy. What will be the retention for these copies, why is this needed for tape out aux copy

Hello @Ajal 

We will always keep 3 versions of the index in backups and the index backups will follow the data backups between copies. The index is metadata we generate about the backup data which is used for many things but for example browsing. We need to restore the index when you perform a browse (assuming the index is not in the cache). Without the index you cannot browse and restore the data.
