Forum|alt.badge.img+4

Hi All,

We are trying to restore the Commserve DB manually on another server using the CSrecovery assistant tool (Command line). The destination CS has exactly same commvault version and hotfix applied. but when we run below command :

CSRecoveryAssistant.exe -operation Recovery -skipdump

then we get error that version on source and destination is not same. Please suggest

Thank you for the information.  I would recommend creating a Support Ticket to have an engineer review the issue with you.  Once you do, share the case number here so we can track it 😎

Hello @KV singh,

Have you confirmed that SQL is the same version on both servers?

@KV singh

Have you looked at the CSRecoveryAssitant.log to see the exact error?

@KV singh , did you end up getting a case opened for this one, or a resolution on your end?

I suspect that the database the restore was using was perhaps the wrong one and from another SQL version, though without looking at it directly, I can’t be sure.
