Customer contacted us saying they saw a File system backup job “Completed with errors”.
Found in job history details that 5-6 objects failed due to “access is denied”.

I mentioned this to the customer, and it appears the failed objects are folders that were deleted 3 days ago.

I guess Commvault is running some kind of indexing before a backup job starts(?), but I don’t know why it still “sees” the deleted folders during indexing or backup..?

Can I force update the index somehow? Is this even caused by a problem with index?

(Since the folders were deleted there has been 2 Completed with errors with reference to the same folders. I suspect the backup today will be the same..)

Might be something to do with trueUp, if you can open a case we can look into it further to confirm.
