@TomasK ,

With new installs of 11.34 the commcell console is no longer installed by default. You can install it if you want it. but it will require getting an authcode in order to use it. You can find more information about this in the following knowledge base article.

Give Command Center a spin and see what you think.

You might like it... 😎

There’s some basic tape library configuration through Command Center.  The Java GUI has a good amount of more options, but I’m not sure how often they’re really necessary.

In Command Center we utilize Plans which are a simplified approach which combines the storage and schedule policies together on the backend.  You won’t be managing both.

If you’re new to Plans, here’s some free videos you can watch:

Thanks,
Scott

@Scott Moseman can you clarify if existing customers with CV installed prior 11.34 will continue to have JAVAGUI available or it will go away after upgrading to 11.34?

Yes, upgrades to 11.34 will still retain their use of the Java console.

Thanks,
Scott

It is a mistake to let the Java Commcell Console die.

They’ve demonstrated they’re not interested in the opinions of ‘legacy’ customers.
