Dear community,

We need to configure the following components, in a Commvault environment that already backing up around 7,000 o365 users.

  • Commvault Compliance (Legal Hold & Classification)
  • Commvault Risk Analysis (Indexing)

According to the documentation, in order to achieve that, we need to add the following Commvault components:

  1. INDEX for data classification plan (Case Manager)
  2. INDEX for data classification plan (Sensitive Data Governance)
  3. Content Analyser

So, the question is if make sense to have only 1 X MediaAgent for all the above components (example D16ads_v5).
1 INDEX for both Case Manager & Sensitive Data Governance data classification plans and same MediaAgent could be also Content Analyser.

Thanks for your reply.

From your 1st link I see that “ Some combinations of applications can share the same index server ”.

Also, from the documentation “from Index server list, select an existing Index Server or create an Index Server.”


|So, it is still not clear if make sense to have only 1 X MediaAgent for all the above components (example D16ads_v5).
