Commvault low space on backup server

Hello,

We have backup server  CommServe Simpana version 11 on Windows sever 2012 R2 Standard, and we are planning to migrate the commserve from win server 2012 OS server to new hardware Windows server 2022E.
But, we have a problem with a low space on backup server 4,39GB free of total 67GB..

I have noticed that SoftwareCache is C:\Program Files\CommVault\Simpana\SoftwareCache is 15.5GB.
Is it recommend to delete that SoftwareCache to free up space on old backup server?

    Hi @elizabeta ,

    Yes you can Delete the Cache Content. Once migrated you can download it again.

    If I delete the SoftwareCache, I can't spoil anything in terms of clients and the operation of the backup server, as well as when migrating Commserve to new hardware?

    I just choose “Delete Cache Conents” ?

    @elizabeta correct! no worries as it only serves as a software distribution cache! So go for it!
