Hi Folks Im having an issue, with sharepoint backups, I keep getting the error Failed to impersonate with user: CommvaultSP when it tries to access the shared job directory.

I’ve checked all the permissions as they should be and that account has full control over that directory

Commvault version 11.36.46

Any pointers in the correct direction would be welcomed!

Okay it seems I needed to log into the access node first with the service account to create the user directories, it now is backing up from both access nodes. Many thanks for your pointers @Vinod Kumar G !

Hello @Nate90

The logs shows that the impersonation to job results fails with the below error,

SharePointIDA::SharePointBackupCoordinator::initialize(209) - Failed to impersonate with user : [CommvaultSPSA]

  •  Impersonation account is used to write to the job results, it need read/write access to the share and has to be local admin on the access nodes.
  • The account need to be updated in Command center as [Domain\account] format and if it is a local account on the access node [<Machine Name\account>] format.

Please test the suggestions and update the status.
