Hi All,

I have to create an automatic alert in Commvault that notifies each individual client machine (or concerned party) when his backup job fails and only the individual client will get the the alert mail whose backup jobs are getting failed not other client agents except commvault admin.

Regards

Abhishek

Hi @Abhishek Srinet

Can you try the following steps and let me know if it helps?

  1. Navigate to the Monitoring section in the Command Center.
  2. Click on Alerts.
  3. Click on Add Alert Definition.
  4. Provide a descriptive name for the alert.
  5. Select the alert type, such as 'Backup Job Failed'.
  6. Specify the entities to monitor, ensuring you select the individual client machines you want to notify.
  7. Select the users to notify when the alert is triggered. Use the search bar to type the email address of the individual client or user group.
  8. Customize the notification body if needed.
  9. Click to create the alert definition.

Best,
