From my review of the documentation for this feature: https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/essential/data_domain_boost_client.html yes, it appears to be business as usual. You can specify a storage policy, if that policy has two copies (onsite/offsite) and those copies have different retention rules, they will apply to the jobs as per your configuration preferences.
