Exchange Online - mailbox without Microsoft license

In regards to your exclude based backup you have a few choices when you configure the "content" tab of the O365 agent in the Command Center.

• Adding All Public folders: https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/essential/151537_adding_all_public_folders_to_backup_content_for_exchange_online.html
• Adding All Mailboxes: https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/essential/162890_adding_all_mailboxes_to_backup_content_for_exchange_online.html
• Adding Custom Rule: https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/essential/161502_creating_custom_categories_for_exchange_backup_content.html

Once you configure this selection by default it will be included in the backup but you can then exclude this group from backup.

This is commonly used if you have 1 group where it is all mailbox's and then an AD group which you exclude making a small group of users skipped.
