IFIND.exe using way to much RAM

_AffinityMask setting is for CPU, not for RAM. 

How much total number of files you are backing up at once? As per documentation System Requirements for Windows, we would need 1 GB RAM for 1 million files. 

You should also consider splitting up the sub client and split the content you are looking to backup with different schedules and that should help in lower consumption of RAM. 

Alternatively, you can also plan to take block level backups Performing Block-Level Backups for Windows File System Subclients that would significantly reduce the scan time on client.

​@Rajiv with block level backup enable its still using 1GB ram per 1 mil files?

The synth full is 4 TB and 18973508 transfered files,

Could you please confirm if all 2 million files are stored in a single folder? A block-level backup should avoid this memory spike and be significantly faster, making it a good alternative.

For a regular file-based backup, the memory requirement is approximately 1GB per 1 million folders in the dataset. Typically, memory usage is not affected by the number of files, but if all files are stored in a single folder, it may impact memory utilization.

​@SKumar Is it normaal that with block level backup option enabled, only Full backup are making and not Incrimentels ? 

​@Egor Skepko  When enabling block level, a push install of the driver and a reboot will occur. If either step is not completed, the jobs will run as full. Once the driver is installed and the system is rebooted, subsequent jobs will start respecting the incremental job type.
