Index Server Health Check

Hello Commvault Community,

I would like to ask you if you might know which setting or configuration is responsible for refreshing the information in the Index Servers properties in the “Health Check” column (from CommandCenter).

All IndexServers are working and there aren’t problems with them, it's just that it shows an outdated Health Check and the question came up as to why and what might be responsible for it, to take an analysis of why it hasn't been updated.

Enviroment version: 11.34.38

Thanks in advance,
Kind Regards
Kamil

Hi @Kamil

The "Health Check" timestamp only shows the last time the health status changed, such as when it switched from critical to good or vice versa. Typically, the health status is checked and updated every 24 hours.

On the index node, you can find traces in the cvd.log file that indicate when it was last synced. For example, you might see:

`CvSearchTask::CvSyncIndexServerStats() - Last index server health sync time []`

Please note that the column "Health Check" timestamp does not indicate when the last index health status check occurred, as those checks happen frequently. You should use that column only to determine how long the status has been good; if it's in a good state, there are no issues.
if it s in critical then you will use the time stamp to refre since when it is havign problem.

Hi @Kamil
Thank you for query
this is to confirm regarding the column "Health Check" , the time stamp refers to when was the last time node health was changed from previous state.
Health status check thread will be running on each index node on regular interval.

Hi @Sujay kumar

And at what time intervals should this happen? The configuration using these Index Servers has been running for several months now and it hasn’t been changed once since these IndexServers were discovered.

Does the status only update when something goes wrong with that IndexServer?
