Hi Community,

This is my first post on the community.  We are looking to backup SharePoint Online through Commvault, but I’m unsure how to go about this?  Is it done through the Commcell itself or can it be done through the Web Console.  I don’t see Solutions\Applications\Office365 to do it this way.  if anyone has a step-by-step guide it would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

Tony

The best way to do this is from the Command center. Actually this is the BEST WAY I HAVE FOUND. I am not toting best practices or anything. Just giving my history on this..

COmmand center > Protect > Application > Sharepoint   - As far as the webconsole I am not sure you can access protecion parameters from here- i think it has to be from the command center.

You can see a solid walkthrough here:

https://documentation.commvault.com/11.22/essential/128562_perform_test_backup_and_restore_of_sharepoint_online_sites.html

You can also configure the agents from the commcell by following this

Hey @TonyQ!  Welcome to the community!

We have some overview documentation available, as well as a step by step installation guide.  The guide itself is for the CommCell Console.

Start with the overview as there is a LOT of useful detail.

I’ll ask around and see if we have details for Web console as well.

@TonyQ   Here is the walkthrough via command center.   I would highly advise using this method as opposed to the CommCell Console method, as its much more straight forward, and the experience will be consistent if you leverage other Office 365 apps (exchange, onedrive, teams, etc..)
