MSP OneDrive Backup; Discovery fails

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

Hi all,

we are deploying a new MSP Environment for backing up O365 Applications.

To have the Access Nodes and Infrastructure Settings hidden for customers we have deployed the Infrastructure Pool App Workflow from Store and using an UNC Share for Shared job results path.

Commcell is running 11.22 and Exchange Online and SharePoint are working fine so far.

OneDrive is giving me some question marks. The OneDrive App is not able to discover Users, always saying “Users and groups are being discovered in the background. Check back after some time.”

When i take a lock on the CvCloudDiscoverOneDrive.log on the Access Nodes i find the following errors:

4956  17bc  03/19 13:26:53 ### CloudDiscover::OneDriveStartDiscoverUsers(2208) - discover option = '{"searchMode":0,"userSerachOption":{"searchType":"0","listRegEx":[],"bOnlyWithLicense":false, "targetDomain":""},"listGroups":[]}'

Those errors can be ignored, those are soft errors, will be suppressed in logging future FR.

Agreed, EXO and SPO don’t have this requirement of sharing with everyone, we will make it consistent in updatepack 18.

Hello,

As per the logs provided issue looks to be related to the shared job results directory access issue.

Can you verify by providing permissions to everyone on the shared job results folder?

If those fixes discover an issue, please keep that workaround in place till update Pack 18.

We are in a process of backporting the fix to FR22.

Hi,

thanks for your answer.

I did several testings with the permissions (including permissions to everyone) on shared job result folder. I see the access nodes accessing the share and opening/writing files. Looks good to me.

But the mentioned directory ...\DiscoveryCache\… with db-temp files did not exist.

The other Apps (EXO and SPO) are working fine on the same share.
