Question

Report to show how much capacity consumed on a storage policy for a specific client

Forum|alt.badge.img+5

Dear Community,

I’m tasked to to provide how much capacity consumed by a client in a storage policy but not in detail.

I tried Jobs in Storage Policy Copies but it has a lot of backup jobs.

Can you recommend an easier way to get the requested info.

I just use the “Jobs in Storage Policy Copies” report via the CommCell Console, targeting the specific Client and Storage Policy, with the “Summary Only” option enabled via Output tab to limit the amount of detail.

It’s not going to be entirely accurate, though.

Dear @Erase4ndReuseMedia

Thanks for your reply,

I checked the report and I can see the consumed capacity on the primary copy only whereas i need the consumed capacity on all copies.

Do you recommend any thing to do to get the required information ?

@Ahmed Elbably When using “Jobs in Storage Policy Copies” report from the console

  1. Select only the specific storage policy you are looking for (unselect others).
  2. Select all the copies of that storage policy
  3. Under the Computers tab, select the specific client (by modify button).
  4. Under Time Range, either select some specific time jobs or select First Job / Last Job.

When the report is generated, it will show the copy specific size under this heading

Summary By Storage Policy Copies

Individual jobs will be shown under this heading
