SQL AG Backup Question [ Choosing the SQL Backup Master]

Is there a way to control which nodes Commvault uses as a SQL backup master in a SQL AG backup?


We are doing a migration of our SQL AG servers to another Commcell but the approach is per site. So they are  moving the primary replica first. What I would like to know is if there is a reg key/ additional settings to enable to force Commvault to assign the SQL Backup Master on the primary replica.  From what I know Commvault chooses the SQL Backup master at random. 

Any useful suggestion is appreciated.

    I have queried this before, but I don’t think it went anywhere.

    In the past where we’ve needed to force the SQL Backup Master to move, we would shutdown the Commvault Services on the current SQL Backup Master node and then immediately initiate a backup job, forcing it to choose a new node.
