@Jakub , looks like delayed stubbing.  Take a look at this thread:

Hi @Jakub !  thanks for the post!

It looks like the job doesn’t think there’s anything to archive “(so it doesn’t do anything further).

Can you share some details about the job?

  • OS?
  • Subclient content/filters?
  • When did this last work?  anything change since then?

Thanks!

Hi! @Mike Struening
Thanks for your reply.
1. Windows 2012R2  with CV software 11.24.34 .
2. subclient is default with no filters,  archive roles is set to archive files modified older than 5 years,
storage policy is set to other NAS with data ageing enable.

But in the second step it archives the files, it just doesn't stab them. See job details :

Hi @Mike Struening ,
The stubs are working fine. Your hint was right on target.
I did some tests, changing the parameters helped:
nMinDRBackupBeforeStubbing and nMinDays...

I have one more question, Is it possible to mark stubs somehow so that change of their status ( to archived ) is visible for users. Some prefix or other icon?

Glad to hear it!

I don’t know of any method yo advise a user of a change, but I’m asking around.

Found out already!

Once the stubs are created it will add a offline attribute, the file will have a grey x.  That means its offline and a stub.

This is handled at the OS level, so if MS doesn't have an offline icon for that particular file type, it will show normal or blank at times.
