Question

Virtual Server - Old objects

Forum|alt.badge.img+10

Hi,
use Simpana 11.28.44 and i backup my VMs with the virtual server agent.
In the client computer group from this agent there are much old objects.
Is there a possibility to automatic delete this objects? I only found the way to select each object and delete them manually.

Thanks and Regards
Dennis

There’s also the option to retire clients, not sure if you can do them en masse.

Hi Rubeck,
no i think i have the same behavior like in this post:
Do we have any script or workflow do delete multiple subclients (disabled) | Community (commvault.com)

But the requirement is slight different from the functionality it does, the clients are not Deconfigured but there multiple sub clients under the clients  which were decommissioned so would need to deleted them if sub client is disabled and no retention for the sub client .

Use case : VCenter having multiple Subclients ( more than 100) so the manually process to clean up if it is disabled and no retention data is not a easy job,  so looking for some workflow or script which does the needfull.
