Where DDB+Compress Happens

Hi Team,

 

Can we see in the log file whether Deduplication and Compression are performed on the Client or the Media Agent?
We changed Deduplication and Compression to be done in Media Agent via subclient, but we want to see this in the log file as well.

You can see in SIDBEngine.log. You can filter for “CLSI”. This indicates the DDB lookups are being performed on the Client Side. Otherwise, its occurring on the MediaAgent.

I suspect Compression would be seen in CVD.log on the MediaAgent, though I’ve never had to check “where” compression was being done.
