Team, need to know what is the best practice for NAS client configuration regarding the clusters/vservers.

Scenario: Client has a netapp. CIFS/NFS will be used. Is best practice to configure the NAS client as the cluster and then add the vservers to it (under ‘storage virtual machines’) or to configure a NAS client for each vserver ? When configuring a NAS client for each vserver would there also need to be a NAS client for the cluster ?

Hi @mzator

It’s better to add the cluster and then add/discover SVM by using the detect option on the client.
This way it automatically configured tunneling and no need to add additional passwords.

Rashid
