When we deployed Exchange Online backup couple of years back, we still used On-Prem AD. Now AD Team is migrating more and more to Azure AD, including shared mailbox delegation groups.
We used these groups to provide Commvault the list of users that should have access to the archives of shared mailboxes.
Given that the delegation groups now only exist in Azure AD, would there be a way to either
- convert Exchange Online with On-Prem AD to Exchange Online with Azure AD or
- work with the new Azure AD objects to delegate shared mailboxes in Commvault?
Our current setup is:
- Exchange Online with On-Prem AD
- End User authentication using SAML (Azure AD) as primary means of authentication. We still keep the On-Prem AD Domain Identity Server, SAML is Associated with the AD Domain.
