We have 6 RHEL 7 and 8 VSAs that we use to perform backups through VMware SAN. For this reason, the LUNs are presented to the VSAs, which are also VSAs. However, the problem occurs when the administrators increase the size of a LUN. Our VSAs stop working; for example, if I try to check the pvs, vgs, or lvs, the command hangs indefinitely. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Hello @slow backup with Catalys HPE Do you have enough resources on the access nodes? Also, check if there are stale mount points presented that should not be present. What happens when you reboot the nodes, does the command respond?

You can also check /var/log/messages to understand more from the OS perspective and at the time when the node is functional.

Best,

Rajiv Singal
