HI,I encountered the following error as shown in the screenshot when performing drive cleaning. May I ask how I can solve this problem? Thank you.

First check in your tape library that the slot that may be reserved for the cleaning tape in Commvault library settings is really a cleaning tape.

Physical checks should be performed first, then raise up to the software level (Commvault/configuration).

Most of the times, the tape has no CLN barcode or sticked in the wrong side, or with wrong barcode setting. 

Very few times the barcode has been sticked on a data tape.. Only physical/visual checks can confirm this. 

 

Has cleaning already been performed multiple times and is stuck this time only ?

Or is this the first time.

Try to perform a cleaning from the tape library adminsitration interface.


HI, Laurent, thanks for the help, I tested the tape drive to perform a cleaning operation also with an error, the hardware vendor is checking it out
