Hi. for this KB https://documentation.commvault.com/11.16/configuring_space_check_for_software_installation_and_system_directories.html

Do I have to configure this for each client? Doesn’t seem to work at the Commcell level. Maybe at the group level?

Hello @typer100

Those keys are used on each MA as it changes the default behaviour on how it checks and monitors its mount paths. They cannot be set on the CS level.

Can you advise what issues you are attempting to address?

Kind regards

Albert Williams

We have set them on a server group containing all client computers.

I will try that, but still not sure why it’s not working at the Commcell level.

Because Commvault engineering decided to draw a line between what has an effect on the application internals and what has a direct effect on client systems. It would be nice if these are default that you can set in a centralized configuration menu instead of having to set these hidden gems but at least they give the ability to influence a lot of settings.
