How do I replace a disk following a Brick failure?

Hello!

I had a failure on my hyperscale and needed to replace a disk.

Hey Ron, 

 

Here is the information you are looking for: 

 

For the encountered Brick failure, follow this procedure to initialize the replacement process:

 

  1. From the Command Center navigation, click Storage pools.

The Storage pools page appears.

  1. On the Storage pools page, click the node that has the disk you want to replace.

The node page appears.

  1. For the disk with Failure disk status, click Actions button (circle with three dots), click Replace, and then click Yes on the confirmation dialog box.

 

From the Command Center it will send a request to the CVWebScale Process on the HyperScale Node to detach the Brick and assign a new brick ID to join to the Gluster.

 

Once the Brick is online it will trigger a Heal process to rebuild the redundancy from other Bricks in the Gluster.
